You can search to find a variety of caregivers such as; babysitters, nannies, companions, Doulas/mother’s helpers, private duty/home visiting Nurses, CNAs, HHAs, companions who do light cleaning, errands, etc.

  • Caregiver’s profiles will show what services they offer and if they have a loved one that they would need to bring along e.g., a child or an elderly parent or pet that they would like to bring along if selected by care seekers.
  • Caregivers can also choose their home as a place to provide the service.
  • Care seekers can search for caregivers or post a job for the type of care they need,  and set an age range plus a limit on how many loved ones they would allow caregivers to bring into their home.
  • The collaboration between the care seeker and caregiver lets the caregiver charge reasonable rates.
  • Exception for care seekers who don’t allow the caregiver to bring their own, then the caregiver is not obligated to charge affordable rates.
  • Care seekers that have home health care givers such as nurses, can collaborate with the nurse and share babysitter while the nurse provides health care.

 No. You decide and set boundaries of what area in your home you are comfortable to be used by  your caregiver.

No, anyone can be a member of OEFC.  You don’t need to have your own family. Our goal is to create easiness on the daily struggle for families dealing with high costs with childcare.

  • Before you hire or get hired by any family make sure to verify the background security check report. This applies to both family and caregivers. Otherwise OEFCares won’t be responsible.
  • All caregivers are required to have background checks to be active on OEFCares platform. And Families are required to verify background checks to be able to hire a  caregiver. Families and caregivers can mutually inquire about background checks on both sides.
  • For both caregiver and care seeker, after you connect, we recommend you set up a first meet and greet visit or virtual meeting to introduce and establish a relationship to make sure every party is comfortable, so there are no surprises and to avoid misunderstanding.
  • And for either party that offers the home, we recommend having fire extinguishers, fire detectors, and an accessible emergency exit in case of emergency, this is up to both parties’ mutual agreement.
  • Also families can choose to have a security camera so they are able to check up on their loved ones.
  • Background checks are mandatory for all caregivers.

  • You should be eligible to work in USA.

  • Proof of current license/certification for Nurses, CNAs.

  • Nurses/CNAs Current BLS/CPR certificate.

  • We recommend for other caregivers acquire CPR certification- which gives care seeker assurance of how seriously you care and value your job.

  • Covid-19 to be followed per CDC guidelines.

As a caregiver of your specialty, on our platform you are a self-contractor, you set your rates per your mutual agreement with your client (care seeker). Payments can be through the following per your mutual agreements:

  • Medicare
  • Insurance
  • Paypal, Venmo or Zelle
  • Cash

We will not be responsible for payments. Payment agreements will be between the employer and the employee. OEFC doesn’t handle payments. Payments will be outside the OEFC platform once both parties mutually agreed to work together.
